| This photo is looking south at what remains of Council lookout which was abandoned by 1959 and gone in 1966. In 1909 there was a camp here, then a log cabin in 1924, replaced by an R-4 cab in 1933. There is no benchmark here. The Council benchmark is on Council Mountain seen in back here which is about 0.8 miles south and 125 ft. higher. Photo taken August 18, 2019. | ||||||
